R. occidentale Cuyamaca 403 on June 22, 2010 with only one truss open at a time when this plant should have been in full bloom. R. Cuyamaca 403 use to almost surround a large conifer tree. Either during the Cedar Fire, or sometime afterwords, the tree fell, taking the plant with it. In 2006 I noted that the plant had resprouted.
