""We have made every effort to avoid spelling errors; species are listed italicized without the R. prefix
and under the name supplied by the contributor, thus this name may vary as to the present classification
system. Not all hybrid names are registered or found in other reference works”. Contributor submitted
photos are listed on line at the ARS web address. We encourage viewing many of the hybrid photos at
http://www.hirsutum.info/
Species are listed by the name supplied by the contributor and thus may vary from the 2010 classification system.
Wherever possible, registered hybrid names will be identified in this seed list (when known) surrounded by a
single quote, e.g. ‘registered hybrid name’. Unregistered names will be identified by double quotes “unregistered
hybrid name”.

Rhododendron Seeds From Northwest Burma (Myanmar)
New introductions from an area in Burmese Himalaya which are unexplored or only little explored. Collected by Bent Ernebjerg on an
expedition autumn 2012.
The expedition went to the northwest of Burma against the Burmese northern border to Arunachal Pradesh to the MaDoi mountain area.
This area of northwest Burma has not been explored by the old plant hunters, and in modern time only little exploration has been done.
This is partly because of the political situation in Burma, partly because this area is very difficult to get to. The MaDoi area is
extremely wet and has a very harsh climate. Maximum altitude on the expedition was 3,700 meters.
Seed collected in the MaDoi Mountains area October 2012 Photo's
