New subspecies R.
The name R. var. gonggaense is also a possibility. R. ambiguum is changed to R. concinnum, since the underside of the leaves look like R. concinnum var. pseudoyanthinum.
sept 2008. A large uniform population growth here without any R. ambiguum and R. concinnum (normal red type). Was earier described as R. lutescens by Warren Berg in JARS.

West for Kangding we also found a population of plants with similar leaves, but here some of the flowers were more redish. We belived that these plants could be hybrids
between R. concinnum and R. ambiguum, but we found no R. ambiguum in the area.
But K. Cox wrote in his encyclopedia (version 1, p.340 line 8)that R. concinnum could not have yellow flowers, else it is a R. ambiguum.
