DNA conncentration (ploidy N) by Joćo Loureiro, Portugal Rhododendron columbianum is indeed a diploid species
Robert MacIntyre provided us another sample of Rhododendron columbianum. It appears that Rhododendron columbianum is indeed a diploid species and is the not a hybrid of the other 2 western ledums that both tested as tetraploid. John Perkins
