R. argipeplum (Barbata) har skiftet navn flere gange, hed tidligere R. smithii. Er nær beslægtet med og en mellemform mellem
R. barbatum og R. erosum har dog et tyndt indument på undersiden af bladene. Ikke hårdfør i Danmark, men kan dog
vokse på et beskyttet sted (mht. blæst og hurtig afkøling) i en årrække.
Vokser i N-Indien (Sikkim og Arunachal Pradesh), Bhutan og SØ-Tibet ved 2700 - 3600 m.
