Buske ca. 0,1 m høj, bark brun, afskaldende, grene 3-4 mm i diam. under blomsterstanden, kirtelstilk håret; knopskæl blivende. Bladstilken med decurrent fløj, 4-10 mm, glat, bladpladen omvendt ægformede eller almindeligt oblanceolate, 4-8,5 × 1,5-3 cm; basis svagt hjerteformet , rand ombøjet, spids stump, apiculate, undersidens indument er diskontinuerlig, rødbrunt. Bladoverflade mørk grøn, tydeligt rugose, glat, midtribbe rillede adaxially, lateral vener 7-9-parret, imponeret adaxially. Blomsterstand slap, 4-6-blomstret, skaft ca. 4 mm, tomentose. Pedicel 1,5-1,8 cm, glandulær-setose, bægerblade lapper 5, 2-3 (-8) mm, elliptiske, ciliate, Kronen rørformet-campanulate, hvid, 3-3,5 cm, lapper 5, suborbicular, ca. 1,2 × 1,5 cm, emarginate, støvdragere 10, ulige, 1,5-2 cm, filamenter glatte, æggestok æggeformet med truncate apex, ca. 5 mm, rødbrune-tomentose, griffel ca. 2 cm, glatte; stigmatisering capitate, lille. Kapsel ikke kendt. Fl. Juli Grasslands, klippefyldte skråninger, alpine regioner; 3900-4400 meter. W Yunnan, NØ Burma.
Shrubs ca. 0.1 m tall; bark brown, usually falling off in flakes; branches 3–4 mm in diam. below inflorescence, setose; bud scales persistent. Petiole with decurrent wing, 4–10 mm, glabrescent; leaf blade obovate or widely oblanceolate, 4–8.5 × 1.5–3 cm; base cuneate; margin revolute; apex obtuse, apiculate; abaxial surface indumentum discontinuous, rufous; adaxial surface dark green, clearly rugose, glabrescent; midrib grooved adaxially; lateral veins 7–9-paired, impressed adaxially. Inflorescence lax, umbellate, 4–6-flowered, rachis ca. 4 mm, tomentose. Pedicel 1.5–1.8 cm, glandular-setose; calyx lobes 5, 2–3 (–8) mm, elliptic, ciliate; corolla tubular-campanulate, white, 3–3.5 cm, lobes 5, suborbicular, ca. 1.2 × 1.5 cm, emarginate; stamens 10, unequal, 1.5–2 cm, filaments glabrous; ovary ovoid, with truncate apex, ca. 5 mm, rufous-tomentose; style ca. 2 cm, glabrous; stigma capitate, small.
