R. brachyanthum ssp. hypolepidotum (Glauca). Vildtvoksende i NØ-Burma, NV-Yunnan og SØ-Tibet. Skælafstanden er 1-3 gange deres egen diameter.
Formen i Burma kaldes R. charitostreptum og har spredte sorte skæl. Stammen rødbrun og ikke så afflagende som ssp. brachyanthum.
