R. faberi ssp. pratti (Taliensia) plante med tæt vækst. Bladene er hvælvede / flade og temmelig store (10-17 cm) stive, blankt mørkegrønne med tydelige nerver på oversiden, undersiden dækket af et ganske tyndt, ligesom pudret, brunligt filtlag, som er tilbøjeligt til at forsvinde på ældre blade, et tydeligt fællestræk med artens meget nære slægtning, R. faberi. Blomsterne er hvide, med rød ganeplet eller tegning og stort blomsterbæger, kønne, men ikke særligt iøjnefaldende på denne plante, som her sine primære fordele i den smukke, blanke bladvækst. Kommer fra Szechuan 3100-4450 m.

Et kendetegn for både ssp. faberi og prattii er at indumentet starter med at dannes på midten af bladets underside, og ofte er der en 5-10 mm rand langs kanten der ikke har indument. Blade på ældre buske kan indumentet dække hele bladundersiden. Karakteristisk er de hårede knopper som adskiller denne art fra flere andre Taliensa (aganniphum, phaeochrysum, sphaeroblastum, przewalskii, mm). Kapslen har både grenede- og kirtelhår, medens R. faberi har langstilkede kirtelhår her.
