R. cephalanthum (Pogonanthum ). Kompakt, opret stedsegrøn dværgbusk med små ovale
blade. Disse er kraftigt skællede og duftende. Har blivende vegetative knopskæl. Blomsterne kommer i april-maj, er rørformede
og minder om blomsterne hos Daphne. De varierer i farve fra hvid til dyb rosa. Blomsterstanden er rund eller undertiden fladtrykt.
Har 5 støvdragere. Kræver god dræning og et lyst og koldt voksested. Udbredte og ofte almindelige
i naturen. Vildtvoksende på forskellige alpine arealer NØ-Indien (Arunachal Pradesh) gennem SØ-Tibet, N-Burma og i V-Yunnan i
2800 - 5.000 m.
